Christmas Beckons

As Christmas draws nearer Rio's excitement grows. I know this because hardly a minute passes without the words 'Christmas', 'Santa', 'Presents' being shouted with glee across the room.

This year is the first year she's really began to understand the concept of Christmas and we are taking it with both hands and running with it... for I remember nothing more special than waking on Christmas Day at my family home, smelling the fragrant, fresh smell of pine, seeing the the speckled coloured lights from the tree drape the floor strewn with presents, and the simple rush of excitement that fills you with nothing more, nothing less, than pure joy. I cannot wait to share that with her. Christmas magic.
