Parenting a toddler, or at least in my own experience - parenting my toddler, is like parenting a Tasmianian Devil. From the moment she wakes in the morning until the moment her eyes close at night she is up and about. Running from one place to another, playing with one toy or another; constantly on the go; into everything and often into things she shouldn't. Busy, busy, busy. And sometimes a lot to handle. When those eyes closed today at her lunchtime sleep she's deep in her wonderland of dreams and she's so peaceful, I took the time to rest with her. Lying beside her and listening to her breathe; watching small smiles round the corners of her lips. And happily using this time to recharge my own batteries, for the afternoon shift.
