An invention
So, recently, I came up with something kind of cool. I'm pretty sure most parents are aware of it, especially when you have a trampoline with a net at your property. Especially when you have kids that are around toddler age and entering the I-want-everything-and-nothing-at-the-same-time-so-I-might-just-squeal-for-twenty-minutes-for-the-hell-of-it phase of their existence. I call it, Jump Jump Lock Down.
It involves enthusiastically (but not too enthusiastically, you don't want toddler to get even a whiff of your desperation, or she won't be going near anything) suggesting to your toddler that they may like to have a turn in the jump jump. Then, as your child enters the jump jump and begins having more fun than conceivable as an adult, all you do is zip up the net and walk away. Not only is it advisable from a safety standpoint to have the net zipped up (so you have a perfect excuse if sprung by a mother-in-law or such), your toddler, who has taken to falling back dramatically on the net, will think it's totally awesome that she can now fall back on ANY part of the entire trampoline without falling out... WIN! Here: Rio and her friends test out Jump Jump Lock Down. They have no idea.
